This article focuses on a part of our lives that we all tend to neglect. And in doing so, we inevitably sabotage our fitness goals.
That crucial part is: "NUTRITION"
Nutrition is that raw material our bodies need to repair itself and for its proper functioning. Now I would like to point out one thing to you. You can exercise all you want. But if you don't watch your diet then its almost entirely useless!
You've probably heard these sayings:
"You can't out-train a bad diet."
"Great Abs are made in the kitchen."
These phrases clearly demonstrate that a HUGE part of what we desire from our bodies is directly influenced by our diet.
Now when you read the word "diet" I'm sure there are some things floating around in your head. But I can assure you that it is something totally different from what you picture.
A complete balanced nutrition plan or diet for fitness does not include:
1) A drastic cutting out of foods and staying hungry the whole day
2) Eating fruits & biscuits and drinking lemon juice all day long
3) Cutting out all kinds of fat from your meals
4) Never being able to eat anything tasty
Absolutely NOT!
What if I told you that doing the EXACT OPPOSITE of each of these things will help you melt that fat off your body? I have your attention now, don't I?
Good
Now that you know what a fitness diet is not, here is a list of things that it is:
1) A comprehensive plan that enables the person to obtain a plethora of nutrients that are needed by the body for proper healthy functioning.
2) A good balance between carbohydrates, protein and fats (yes, you need to eat FATS!)
3) A set of moderate size meals that leave the person satisfied.
4) A variety in every meal. No more boring salads and beans for the whole day.
Maintaining a balanced nutrition plan has the following benefits:
1) Effective weight loss solution. Eating a clean, healthy diet can help you lose as much as 20 pounds in 2-3 months when coupled with a well designed exercise plan.
2) Healthy eating strengthens your immunity and improves repair functions of your body.
3) Dramatic increase in energy levels. You will not believe the drastic change in your energy levels once you clean up your diet. It's like a feeling of being born again!
4) Eating healthy can make you look younger and fresher. It promotes good cell growth and eliminates free radicals and toxins in your body.
And MANY MANY more.
So there you have it.
