HCG Diet: Really is Easy
Everyone's always worried are 500 calories enough? Will I be tired? Will I be hungry? How will my mood be? The answers to all of these questions are based on your commitment. The HCG diet is easy. Just by understanding and following a few simple instructions you will get through the first week and already notice a change in your body. The first two days of the diet are referred to as "Loading Days". During the loading days you need to eat foods that high in fat and carbohydrates. You need to eat past the "full feeling". Loading is essential to your success the first week on the HCG diet. After the first two days, comes the first three days of the 500 calorie diet. The key to getting through this period is to be prepared, have your food ready, and have the right mindset and the commitment to break old habits. Although some may say this is the hardest part of the diet, everyone can't believe how much weight they have already lost! With the HCG diet results are almost immediate!
HCG Diet: Breaking Bad Habits
For most people the first few days on the HCG Diet is hard because of old bad habits. These habits are things that we have learned since childhood and have grown to accept them as normal. One of the first of these bad habits is to "eat everything on your plate". Ok that was great as a kid because you were running around playing and most of your meals were probably home cooked and well balanced meals with meats, vegetables and fruit. Now days we eat out often and are not nearly as active. Also as we get older our metabolism starts to slow down. We as a society are now super busy and picking up fast food, which is not nearly as balanced or nutritious as that good old-fashioned home cooking. Well in developing this first bad habit, it created the second bad habit that most people do. We eat till we are full, instead of eating till we are satisfied. By doing this for most of our lives we have developed a strong mental association of fullness with over-eating. But what usually happens 10 minutes after we eat? You will usually feel excessively full like your stomach is about to explode. This happens because it takes 10-15 minutes for your body to process that fact that you are full, but by that time it is too late and you already have over eaten.
HCG Diet: Creating New Good Habits
So how do I make it thru the first few days of HCG Diet? I always explain to my patients that the first few days are the most challenging, and I explain to them the bad habits are the hardest to break. So I tell them," I want you to sit back and think are you really hungry or just NOT full?" Its not that you are hungry, you just aren't experiencing that "stuffed" feeling. But mentally you feel you are still hungry because of that mental association that you've developed making you think that you should eat till you are full. Taking yourself out of the situation just for a moment and just breathing helps a lot. It is also helpful to drink a lot of water. I suggest having an iced tea sweetened with Stevia to curve any sweet craving. Before you know it you will have created new eating habits that will continue long after you finish the diet and the new you will be emerging! GREAT JOB!
HCG Diet: It Gets Easier
Now the first three days on the HCG diet are the most challenging, because we are creatures of habit. But once you get into a routine and retrain your body to eat smaller quantities, you start noticing that you actually fill up faster and eat less throughout the day. It is very rewarding when each day you are losing weight and getting healthier. Everyday becomes a little easier, your weight loss is increasing, and you are feeling great. The best motivation is the excitement the scale will register a lighter weight each morning. The HCG diet really works and is easy to do; you just have to have the right mind-set to do it.
